Sofia University Keynote Bites - Crisis as an Opportunity
Our World Crisis - Business as usual must fall - a time of Deep Grieving - Crisis as an opportunity to Change for the Greater Good
Paul Raskin, an eco-psychologist and philosopher, highlights the importance of grieving humanity's harm to the Earth, in his book entitled Journey to Earth land. Also, Edgar Morin, Homeland Earth, writes that business as usual needs to fall and requires a time of deep grieving.
Both authors suggest that grief can initiate transformative processes to improve the relationship between humans and the planet. Raskin and Morin emphasize viewing the Earth as our shared home - urging us to care for it, as its destruction would ultimately mean our own.
We are in a world crisis. Any crisis is also always an opportunity to change for the better of the Greater Good. Barabar Marx-Hubbard drew the metaphor of a birth: In this crisis, we as humanity are in birthing process to a spiritual human in harmony with all and caring for all relations.
Currently, we are developing an Integral Transpersonal Peace Builder Training including psychedelic-assisted interventions. You can see more details on our webpage:
